My Journey

2020–Now

2020–2021

The detour

I was studying computer science engineering and, honestly, I didn’t enjoy coding. Aesthetics was what kept pulling me back. So I taught myself UI/UX, logo design and micro-interactions, and started freelancing to make a bit of money on the side.

2021–2022

A little bit of everything

I learned Flutter and interned at Harman in Pune, designing and building interfaces from scratch. By mid-2022 I was set on starting my own agency. The only problem was I didn’t have the money, so I went out on my own instead. Freelancing taught me something I didn’t love hearing: I knew a little about design, development and animation, but I didn’t have depth in any one of them.

2022–2023

Going deeper

So I joined Brandshark, an agency in Bengaluru. Shekhar Suman took a chance on me and let me work on full-stack applications. Somewhere along the way, we both noticed I was at my best when I was working with people. That’s how I ended up as a project manager.

2023–2025

Finding my place

I moved back home to Mumbai and joined Sparkt as a mobile app developer, under the leadership of Aditya Chandra. It didn’t take me long to realise there were people who were simply better developers than me. What I was good at was standing in the middle of it all: talking to people, understanding the problem, picturing how tech could solve it, and getting a team to bring it to life. That’s what got me promoted to product manager.

2025–2026

Product, people and growth

My role grew well beyond product. As Director of Technology, I ran the P&L of Sparkt’s tech division, and my days became a mix of building products, leading people and growing the business.

Now

Taking a breath

After nearly five years in agencies, I was burnt out, and I knew it. So I stepped away from Sparkt to reset. I’m now looking for work that solves problems, with people who care about doing it well. If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear from you.
